Abstract Artist: Bob Hunt
For me, the actual process of painting, the physical activity of it, the manipulation of the medium and the subconscious imagery that surface are of interest to me. I want to validate my relationship with them but they are suspect. I destroy many of these images trying to articulate the elusive. It’s an emotional and intellectual struggle that never seems to end.
After many years in the graphic design field Bob is now devoting his energies to painting full time. He has been painting seriously for the past twenty years. Although he does some figurative work, he’s primarily an abstract/ non-objective painter. Although formally educated in art and graphic design, he attribute his development as a painter through experimentation and the actual process of painting more than any formal academic studies.
