Understanding Abstract Art

http://columbuscameragroup.com/2011/07/26/ The abstract art movement is rooted in the desires of the artist to simply create, with or without meaning.   For this reason the very nature of abstract art exemplifies creativity and imagination.  The abstract artist relies on intuitive senses to create what is pleasing to him or her without a fixed notion from an outside source or establishment.  Often times, the abstract artist enjoys the pure creative expression in the present moment as if it were a form of meditation, shutting out the chatter of the mind and exploring the depths of the soul.

esoterically Connecting in the present moment is vital to allowing the senses full reign in unraveling a journey with the imagination.  Expressing the unseen can become an adventure.  And the artists themselves cannot always predict the outcome.  The creation process can be likened to a meandering stream that finds the best channel.  There’s no wrong path, other than the one that does not allow the artist to get form one place to another.  With or without meaning, the desires of the abstract artist are always the same, to create and be creative.

From the outside perspective, many questions and assumptions arise.   The artwork that once never existed, beckons the viewer to find the identifiable, or perhaps not find it.  This is one of the beauties of all art, the viewer can harness what they like and interpret it as if it was their own.  Abstract art just happens to appeal to the senses of interpretation all the more because of its ambiguous nature.  Laying all theories aside, the rawness of abstract art when created for expressions sake is really just pure art.  Art that many people can take delight in as long as they appreciate creativity and expression.
